CRD6 implemented in Croatia
New Credit Institution Act has been enacted and entered into force, transposing Capital Requirements Directive VI (CRD6) into Croatian law.
Transposition includes, the most interesting part, its Article 21c.
Article 21c of the CRD6 restricts non-EU (third-country) banks from providing cross-border banking services, such as lending or taking deposits, into the EU without establishing a local branch.
Third country banks can still rely on reverse solicitation as one of the exceptions available.
