NEW CREDIT INSTITUTION ACT<\/p>\n
New Credit Institution Act has been enacted and entered into force, transposing Capital Requirements Directive VI (CRD6) into Croatian law.
\nTransposition includes, the most interesting part, its Article 21c.
\nArticle 21c of the CRD6 restricts non-EU (third-country) banks from providing cross-border banking services, such as lending or taking deposits, into the EU without establishing a local branch.
\nThird country banks can still rely on reverse solicitation as one of the exceptions available. There are no grandfathering provisions.<\/p>\n
